Non-combat $100,000/hr for noobs.

I haven't played GTA V/Online since 2014, so things have changed a bit. It's all quite overwhelming for newcomers or returning players, especially if you get the Criminal Enterprise Starter Pack like I did.
I snagged my Motorcycle Club, my Bunker, and free vehicles, and proceeded to follow guides for making money with those businesses. I sank too much into them, to the tune of getting down to $500,000 with no profit coming in because I was getting skunked as a solo player, even in a solo public session.
The most difficult part of it all is dealing with the sharpshooter NPC's. These guys are ridiculous! So, we're aiming for non-combat jobs.
That said, here's what I recommend folks do: - Snag the Criminal Enterprise Starter Pack for the $1,000,000. - Link your Amazon/Twitch Prime account with your Rockstar Social Club account to snag another $200,000 (and another $200,000 after 4 weeks consecutive play, supposedly). - Grab a bulletproof helmet ($20,000) from a clothing store, and ensure it's always equipped. (You may skip this, as it's really not necessary, but will help if you get pinned somewhere.) - Purchase a Mini SMG ($8,900). - Purchase a Pegassi Bati 801 motorcycle ($15,000). - Play Mission Repo - Simeonics until Rank 16 (Pause Menu > Online > Jobs > Rockstar Created > Missions > Repo - Simeonics). Profit $16,170. - Once Rank 16, play the Chasers II mission (Pause Menu > Online > Jobs > Rockstar Created > Missions > Chasers II). Queue into it, select Hard, and on the next screen, select Closed so no one else joins so you don't have to wait for them. Start a timer once you load in, go grab the car, ignoring people shooting at you (they'll stop once you get close enough to the destination), and turn in the vehicle once you pass 4:00. Profit $9,480. - Repeat - Once you get to $1,500,000, see this post or watch this video to start making $240,000/hr until you reach $2,200,000.

Notes for fellow noobs

Snacks are how you regain health. Your free CEO office has an executive assistant that provides snacks for free. These can be consumed on-the-fly via the Interaction Menu at Inventory > Snacks.
Ammo can be purchased for your currently-held weapons via the Interaction menu at Inventory > Ammo.
Visit the casino once per day (real time). No matter what, it's worth the drive, even if just for a few thousand RP.
At this point in the GTA Online lifespan, your goal should be to obtain a submarine ($2,200,000) in order to do the Perico Heist. So, after grabbing your free cash, and spending some dough on the aforementioned items, you should be sitting at $1,156,100 before even starting any jobs. You're practically halfway to the submarine already...
The reason we wait for 4:00 is due to the way payout is calculated. Further reading here.

Math

I tried a bunch of things, but what boiled down to being most profitable-to-ease of completion, in order of best to okay, were: 1. Chasers II 2. Repo - Simeonics 3. San Andreas Seoul 4. Warehouse 1x Crate Pickup & Delivery
``` | Job | Avg Time to Complete | Net Profit | Avg Profit per Minute | Profit per Hour | | ------------------ | -------------------- | ---------- | --------------------- | --------------- | | Repo - Simeonics | 10:00 | $16,170.00 | $1,617.00 | $97,020.00 | | Chasers II | 6:45 | $9,480.00 | $1,404.44 | $84,266.67 | | San Andreas Seoul | 9:00 | $11,380.00 | $1,264.44 | $75,866.67 | | Warehouse 1x Crate | 8:00 | $9,000.00 | $1,125.00 | $67,500.00 |
Sample Size for each: 10 ```
Conclusions
Taking into account the costs for each warehouse, we'd have to do roughly 9 hours of solo 1x crate jobs before breaking even. However, these will come in handy with vehicle cargo if I decide to do that in the future.
While Repo - Simeonics is more profitable, it's also slightly more difficult. Taking your Bati 801 to the airport twice to grab two cars takes some time, and has more room for error, especially considering the wanted level at the beginning. That said, the only choke point is at the entrance/exit of the airport, and really isn't an issue. But it is worth noting.
Chasers II can be done in around 2:00, with 2:00 of waiting in Simeon's parking lot to turn in. This can definitely be more boring, so I am currently switching it up between Chasers II and Simeonics.
Once you're ~ Rank 40, you should be able to do some better missions, as mentioned in this post, but you should have already done the Perico Heist by then, and at that point the missions will be less than what you can make with Perico.
Testing Parameters:
Each mission was timed from the beginning of loading into the queue to loading back into free roam.
Crate jobs were timed from leaving the CEO laptop, picking up, taking to warehouse, selling and dropping off, to returning to the CEO office. Office used was Maze Bank West, while warehouses used were White Widow Garage ($360,000) and Convenience Store Lockup ($250,000).
All tests performed using PlayStation 5 with MTU set to 750. With default MTU setting, queuing into missions may be quicker, and therefore even more profitable.
Questions
Why not Sightseer?
Sightseer, the CEO/VIP Work, is definitely non-combat. However, there are so many variables here, that it's just not worth it. You're usually taken on a wild goose chase throughout the northern section of the map. You need a fast airborne vehicle for Sightseer to be worth it. But even then, you probably already have better means of income.
That said, give it a shot! Even if it takes you all 15:00 to complete, it's still $20,000 ($25,000 if completed in under 5:00, but let's not kid ourselves). This comes out to $1,333/min if done in 15:00, or $2,000/min if done in 10:00.
Changelog
12/30/2020 - Added Questions section - Added information regarding Sightseer. - Added information regarding CEO Vehicle Cargo.
Completed Casino Heist with my son, but very small score
My son and I have been playing GTA online since summer as a stress relieving / bonding time
We have enjoyed the grinding as CEOs, death match, etc
We tried our hand at the Casino heist yesterday and while we had a lot of fun doing it, it took us 3h+ to complete it with prep and the score was only a measly ~ 300K to split 50/50
We hit every problem you could imagine and in the end we were pretty disappointed with the score, compared to our super efficient grinding methods.
Are there tips to squeeze the most out of the casino heist? Do you find it worth it compared to doing VIP/CEO missions?
Edit: thanks for all the tips. We invested more time in learning how to heist properly and we are doing a new casino heist twice a week. A lot more adrenaline than CEO/VIP missions. *
Personal this weeks Tips and Tricks
GET THE PODIUM VEHICLE EVEN IF YOU ARE A NEW PLAYER
It is somewhat armoured. You NEED a MOC with a vehicle WORKSHOP,an Avenger with a VEHICLE WORKSHOP or an Arena Workshop with a weapons expert if you wanna be able to upgrade the Halftrack. No,you CAN'T bring it into Los Santos Customs and not even in Benny's don't even try. The Halftrack is SOMEWHAT armoured when stock. It's not recommended for PvP but use it for PvE. If you're a newer player,it could come handy in missions or Heists.
Get this week a Hangar. NOT for the business aspects but because most of the aircrafts in the game. Not customisation for the Hangar is needed besides the workshop. You NEED that one. As for location,it's your choice. LSIA is the closest because most players spend their time in the city. Zancudo one allows you to enter it without a wanted level. It's all your choice.
[VEHICLES]
The Akula is a MUST BUY if you own a Hangar. The stealth ability is great for PvP and PvE. If you have a wanted level of 3 stars or more,going to stealth mode will reduce it immediately to 2 stars. Good for things like the Casino heist. Having stealth mode active also hides cargo and supplies when flying the Akula. Akula is a must buy and most solo friendly player aircraft. Make sure to get HOMING ROCKETS. Bombs are a cherry on the top. Co-pilot machine guns are a waste of money.
Scramjet: Good vehicle to travel around the map due to it's boost. It CANNOT be used in Heists,the VIGILANTE can. MOC,Avenger or Arena with weapons expert are needed for customizing the Scramjet but the rocket boosts and weapons are already avaible so it's still good for getting around.
Khanjali: Decent tank,you'll end up as jet or mk2 food but the tank is nice having for causing chaos. A facility is required to be able to own one. It can come in handy for this weeks 3x freemode events payout,especially in CRIMINAL DAMAGE.
Thrax: Good supercar. Worth picking up,really.
Ramp Buggy: If you own a mk2 or a deathbike with the jump ability,get the Ramp Buggy. The VIP mission pays more than piracy prevention and can be done in a private lobby. All you need is 1 person to help and a mk2 or deathbiker with the jump ability. Then you can use those vehicles to pickup crates and get 35k in less than 10 mins.
[MONEY MAKING OPPORTUNITIES]
This is a bad week for veteran players or players who own multiple businesses but it's a good week for newer players.
Don't bother with 2x cash Stockpile,terrible gamemode(and mega annoying). 2x cash MOC missions are somewhat decent. As a new player,do 3x cash Hunting Pack(and Remix). It requires little PvP skills,all you need to know is how to drive a vehicle and also ram into people. Winning in the mode also unlocks a cheaper price(trade price) for the Scramjet.
Freemode events are also 3x cash so enjoy getting 3x cash payout for Criminal Damage or collecting checkpoints around the map!
Also this week,get a free 1M GTA$ by completing 10 daily objectives in 7 days. It takes a minimum of 4 days to do that. Sunday would be your last day to start participating,Monday isn't enough unless you manage to do daily objectives on the Thursday before the next bonuses. The daily objectives depend on the things you own: For example if you own a Counterfeit Cash business,it could say that you should sell Counterfeit Cash from your Biker business or nightclub.
GTA Online - Starting Over
GTA Online - Starting Over
Since the release of GTA for free on the Epic Games store, the sub is filled with so many “how to make money” questions, so I thought I’d compile a guide, since the old one is heavily outdated.
The first thing you see when loading onto Online for the first time is the tutorial. I skipped it for my first time as I already had some basic knowledge, but if you have never played a GTA game before, it’s worth it. And you get some decent rewards too.
When loading into a session, you should spawn outside of the casino or nearby. Inside, is a lucky wheel which rewards players, once a day, with RP, cash, chips, mystery items and the Podium Vehicle, which you can find as you enter the Casino. Go to the Diamond Casino website on your phone and sign up (will cost 500$) to get access to the wheel, as well as 1000 chips per day to gamble, at your own risk. Note that the wheel is not available in some countries due to gambling laws. You may get lucky with the podium vehicle or money. RP is also useful, and may get you to level 7-8 depending on how much you get. Buy the cheapest 2 car garage and set it as your spawn location.
From this point onwards, always play in Invite Only sessions. You won’t get blown up/griefed by anyone and is much more peaceful.
A great starter car is the Annis Elegy RH8, which you can pick up for free from Legendary Motorsport if you link your Social Club account to your respective Xbox or PSN accounts (PC players get it for free automatically.) Store it in your garage and practice driving it around corners. A good bike is the Bati 801, which you can pick up from Southern San Andreas Super Autos for 15k.
Your next point of action is to get money for weapons. You have 2 options here. One is to participate in the double or triple money events, ranging from races, jobs, adversary modes and businesses. If you are lucky and have a job with double money such as Contact Missions or Repo missions, grind these as much as you can while they’re double money. Once you have 50-100k from doing these, go to the nearest Ammu-Nation, and buy a Micro SMG, and Special Carbine, and attach both with extended magazines, and buy a Homing Launcher and maximum grenades and sticky bombs, as these can be useful in certain situations.
Once you have these, your next step is to complete the various easter eggs, rewarding around $1 million, and plenty of RP too. There are many guides online which are useful, especially GTA Series Videos. The easter eggs you can do are the Maude Bounties, Los Santos Slasher and Treasure Hunt, each rewarding 250k, and the Signal Jammers and Action Figures, each rewarding 150k. You should also enable 2FA on your account to earn 500k.
The next step is to buy a high-end apartment to unlock Heists. The cheapest and one of the best ones is Alta Street, costing a mere $200,000. Once you have done this, visit Lester (marked L on the map) and once you are Level 12, you can host The Fleeca Job. Use HeistTeams or the official GTA online Discord to find a partner for this. Upon completion, you will earn around 150k depending on cut, and the trade price for the Armored Kuruma, arguably one of the best vehicles for low level players, as it is pretty much bulletproof.
Your next step is to afford a CEO office and enter the world of Vehicle Cargo, one of the best paying active businesses, and it is quite fun too. If you have the Criminal Enterprise Starter Pack, you will get the Maze Bank West CEO office for free, otherwise it costs $1 million. “How do I earn this?” you may ask. There is a feature in the game called VIP, which requires you to have 50k in your account. You can register as a VIP using the Interaction Menu. If you own a CEO office, you become a CEO instead, which is the same as a VIP, but you don’t have a cooldown. VIP jobs are fun and well paying, the best 2 ones are Headhunter and Sightseer, each paying 22-25k depending on how long it takes you. You should run these back to back, and rob a store/do a contact mission during the cooldown. Once you have enough for the CEO office, go to your computer in the office and buy a Vehicle Warehouse. The cheapest one is 1.5 million in La Mesa, which is the best price-performance one. It does have a gang hangout nearby so be careful when making the final turn into the warehouse as if you crash into them, they will shoot at you.
With Vehicle Cargo, you must be in a Public Lobby, meaning with other people. There is a method for each console which allows you to get a “solo public lobby”, so you can do Vehicle Cargo and business sell missions stress-free. There is a general rule of thumb for Vehicle Cargo, never sell standard or mid range cars. If you source 10 standard and 10 mid range car and don’t sell any, you will only source top range cars. If you source the 4 slow top range cars (the Roosevelt Valor, Z-Type, Stirling GT or Mamba, store them in your warehouse, and you’ll only source cars which are fast.
Overall then, here is the list of things, preferably in order, which are the most important to get:
Apart from that, everything else is completely up to you. If you want a challenge, you could go for the Criminal Mastermind, where you have to complete every heist and setup, on hard, with the same team, in order, without dying, rewarding 10 million dollars. If that’s too hard, try the Doomsday Heists (which requires a Facility) or the Casino Heist (which requires an Arcade). But most importantly, GTA is a game at the end of the day and just have fun :)
Solo money making guide for new and well set players.
I've got this cool solo money making guide I tried and tested.
Fore new players who are new or broke,click on this link here hence including new players in the title. https://www.reddit.com/usexInfected_Virus/comments/epdbs2/solo_money_making_guide_for_new_players/
What businesses you'll need.
Recommended locations (For players who don't have the businesses yet).
If you already own the businesses and properties then you don't have to change from your current locations, except maybe moving your MC Businesses to Sandy Shores if it's in Paleto Bay or Elysian Islands/Terminal and moving your Bunker to Chumash or Farmhouse. This is mainly for players who are looking to buy those properties and businesses.
Note: This is my personal opinion. If you think there's another better location or disagree, then let me know why that's better.
If you already have multiple Special cargo small, medium or large warehouses then stick with the ones you have.
Vehicles you'll need.
1. Buzzard.
2. Bati 801RR.
3. Oppressor MK II (Optional).
4. Cargobob (Optional).
6. Post Op vans (Optional).
The main money making guide tips and steps.
I recommend doing the steps in a solo public session.
This is not only to avoid griefers and tryhards but this guide may spread to the popular GTA online money grinding youtubers such as TheProfessional, Tylerious or maybe even Ghilliemaster and this guide may get very popular that more players will be doing this guide so most likely someone else will be doing a Terrorbyte mission, Sightseer, Headhunter or any other VIP work. See GTA Online Mega Guide thread on how to go in a solo public lobby. Or you can just keep finding a new session until you're in a solo public lobby or in a session your happy with full of friendly players who don't do Terrorbyte client missions, Sightseer and Headhunter. If you want to do the Casino Heist or other jobs then set your MTU back to 1500 otherwise you can't join a heist or other activities with low MTU.
Get the Arcade with the Master Control Terminal.
The Master Control Terminal allows you to buy supplies in one building instead of having to fly to different businesses to resupply. However sell product from the actual businesses location because if you sell from the Master Control Terminal then you'll have to drive or fly to that business to begin selling which could cost valuable time.
Before you start the steps. (If you have a Nightclub).
If you have a nightclub and five technicians then put them on Cargo/Shipments (Hanger), Sporting goods (Bunker), South American imports (Cocaine), Pharmaceuticals (Meth) and Cash Creation (Counterfeit cash). Once Pharmaceuticals and Cash Creation is full then move those technicians to Organic Produce (Weed) and Printing and Copying (Document Forgery). Ignore this part if you don't have a nightclub.
Business battles (Optional).
If your in a lobby with three other players and a business battle starts. You can collect the crate or vehicle with the crates. Once you finished, delivering the product to your nightclub then continue what your doing.
Make sure your nightclub popularity is full. (Optional)
You can make a small profit with the nightclub safe. At any time in the steps if your nightclub popularity is full in the pre step and the the game tells you your safe is $20,000 just go back to your nightclub and book another DJ to make the nightclub popularity full again and wait until the game tells you have $40,000 and re-book another Dj and keep grinding until you reach $60,000. If it reaches $70,000 collect the money straight away and wait until the game tells you, that you have $10,000 in the safe and re-book another DJ and keep repeating this process. Make sure to change DJs every 90 minutes to avoid losing popularity.
Here's the Reddit thread that explains it all. https://www.reddit.com/gtaonline/comments/95crke/nightclub_profit_and_popularity_guide_not/
If you have a Terrorbyte.
Spawn it and start up Import/Export source vehicle or Special cargo missions since it's faster to go in rather than going all the way to your CEO office or Master Control Terminal depending where you are on the map.
Always do Headhunter in Los Santos.
The targets are more closer in Los Santos. Blaine County targets are more spread out so it'll take longer to do it there. Make sure your completely in Los Santos since even starting Headhunter in Vinewood Hills, you'll still get Blaine County targets.
Play in free aim lobbies.
The chances of being attacked or griefed by a tryhard is slightly lower than in auto aim. But they are still plenty of them, just not as much as auto aim. Your more likely to get placed in a peaceful lobby and if you do get attacked by a tryhard or griefer then find a new session since they're just wasting your time and to also protect your cargo since you only lose a little bit when you find a new session or close the application.
Also there's less players on free aim than auto aim so your more likely to find a lobby with less players.
PC only, If you see a modder or a cheater in your session.
Find a new session immediately since they may try to give you cheated money and get you falsely banned. They may also try to grief you with the use of mods.
If nightclub safe is full at $70,000.
Make sure to collect the money ASAP so more money can be stored in the safe.
If your flying a Buzzard or any vehicles or aircraft with homing missiles around in a peaceful lobby.
Make sure to use the homing missiles only when you need to use them such as killing enemy NPCs or Headhunter targets. One you finished using them then switch to the machine guns or non homing mode or the barrage missiles (if your in a Hunter) until you need to use the homing missiles again. This is to stop scaring other players who are in another aircraft or in a vehicle on the ground and it's also to prevent accidental firing of the homing rocket that's locked on to friendly players.
Terrorbyte client missions are quick and easy.
Finishing Targeted Data, Diamond Shopping and Robbery in Progress gets you an easy $31,000 in just 3-4 minutes of work. You'll need a drone station to do Targeted data though.
Stealing supplies is NOT worth it anymore if your Bunker and MC Businesses have full upgrades.
Steal missions take too long to do and it can take up to two or three hours to fill all your businesses. You can do the pre step and step 2 to easily pay off your supplies investment and even make some more money in the two and a half hours period before the businesses and Bunker stops producing due to lack of supplies. Good thing about this Casino heist DLC is that they include the Master Control Terminal where you can buy supplies for your businesses in one place instead of having to drive or fly to different locations.
The only time where I recommend stealing the supplies is when you don't have the upgrades yet on your Bunker or MC Businesses.
If you have an associate in your CEO.
If you have friends or a random person in your CEO, after you finished a Terrorbyte mission, do Point to point and share the money for an extra $5,250. Your associate can get paid well and still have fun grinding. Also if your in an MC then promote your friend or associate to Road Captain so they can use the non weaponized Buzzard or Havok (if they own one).
Don't waste money on junk.
One of the main reasons why players go broke and resort to buying Shark cards or give up on the game altogether. You don't need to own everything in the game and get a Deluxo or the latest supercar just because your friends and "everyone" has one. The clothes you only need are heavy heist vests for classic heists, quad lens helmets and scuba outfit. Supercars are only good for driving around the map and for races but not for missions. You can get around the map faster with a Buzzard. If your gonna buy a super car then buy the one that tops Broughy1322's tests.
The steps below are assuming you have the full day off from school or work and want to grind all day.
Note: The main steps are only if you have the CEO Office, Vehicle Warehouse, Bunker (Fully upgraded), MC Clubhouse, MC Businesses (Coke, Meth and Cash all fully upgraded), Nightclub, Terrorbyte and Arcade with Master Control Terminal. Also the tips below the steps are from my experience of grinding and selling cargo.
Pre step: Buy supplies for your Bunker and MC Businesses.
Make sure they're empty so sell whatever you have before buying supplies. Also set spawn location in the Arcade.
  1. Buy Supplies for your Coke, Meth, Cash and Bunker using the Master Control Terminal in the Arcade.
Step 1: Import/Export method (Best time to money ratio).
  1. Source vehicle.
  2. Sell vehicle.
  3. Do Terrorbyte mission.
  4. Source a vehicle.
  5. Do Terrorbyte mission.
  6. Do Headhunter.
  7. Sell vehicle.
  8. Do Terrorbyte mission.
  9. Source vehicle.
  10. Do Terrorbyte mission.
  11. Do Headhunter.
  12. Sell vehicle.
  13. Do Terrorbyte mission.
  14. Repeat 8-13 or move to step 2.
Import/Export sell tips.
Tips for vehicle sourcing missions, read this thread.
https://www.reddit.com/gtaonline/comments/5tzgfk/guide_for_vehicle_cargo_imports/
Step 2: Special cargo method. (Optional)
Special cargo method with a warehouse. It's only if you want to mix things up a bit since doing the same I/E method over again can be efficient but boring.
  1. Steal three crates.
  2. Do Terrorbyte mission.
  3. Steal three crates.
  4. Do Terrorbyte mission.
  5. Steal another three crates. You should have nine after you delivered those crates.
  6. Do Terrorbyte mission.
  7. Do one cycle of the I/E method above. (Do 1-5 on the Step 2: Import/Export method).
  8. Sell crates or continue filling up the warehouse.
  9. Repeat 1-8.
  10. (Optional) If continuing filling up the warehouse, repeat 1-9. (You don't have to do the cycle again but it's up to you if you want to)
  11. Sell the crates.
  12. Do Terrorbyte mission.
After finishing a source mission.
If you go the vehicle mission then do Headhunter then do a Terrorbyte mission. If you get vehicle missions back to back and Headhunter's still cooling down then simply do a Terrorbyte mission and source another three crates. If you got a three crate pickup mission, then just do a Terrorbyte mission and source another crate after.
Special cargo tips.
For more tips with special cargo read this thread.
Step 3: Selling the Bunker and MC Product.
This is a solo method on how to do MC Businesses and Bunker 100% solo.
Sourcing and selling top range cars after selling the MC product and disbanding MC and registering as CEO.Read before doing step 3.
Step 3.
  1. Sell Coke.
  2. Disband MC and register as CEO and steal a top range vehicle and sell straight away.
  3. Sell Meth.
  4. Steal top range vehicle and sell.
  5. Sell Cash.
  6. Steal top range car and sell.
  7. Sell the Bunker.
  8. Steal top range car and sell.
Fast step 3 (If your short on time and need to do something else).
  1. Sell Coke.
  2. Sell Meth.
  3. Sell Cash.
  4. Sell Bunker.
What you'll get when buying one batch of supplies for you Bunker and MC Businesses (Coke, Meth and Cash).
Note: This is with the Equipment and Staff upgrades.
Solo Post OP van tips.
I Know people give up on the MC Businesses all because of the Post OP aka Slow OP vans and I can understand why since the vans are very slow and the drops are far apart but reading this will give you confidence to do the MC Businesses again.
This Post OP Van tips are based off having the Sandy Shores/Grand Senora Desert MC Businesses.
Step 4 (Optional): Continue doing the step 1 I/E cycle or Step 2 Crates cycle.
If you don't want to do this part for whatever reason then skip to step 5.
Step 5: Selling the Nightclub.
Once you finish doing Step 3 or Step 4 then it's time to sell the Nightclub.
  1. Sell all the product via the special orders for a bonus if there is no special orders then sell all.
  2. Source and sell top range Import/Export vehicle.
  3. Do Terrorbyte mission.
  4. Do Headhunter.
  5. If there's money in both the Arcade and Nightclub safe, just collect it, also go to the Casino and spin the wheel.
  6. Wait for the game to auto save and you should be done for the day.
Alternative steps.
Simple method. (For players who don't have lots of time to play but still want to do the steps). Step 2 is not needed.
  1. Do the pre step.
  2. Do Step 1.
  3. Keep repeating Step 1 I/E cycle until the two and a half hour timer is up.
  4. Do fast step 3.
  5. Once you sold the MC Businesses then sell nightclub and you should be done for the day.
Simple Sightseer, Headhunter and Terabyte client mission cycle. (Best to do in an invite only session).
  1. Find a car and sell to Los Santos Customs.
  2. Start Headhunter.
  3. Do Terabyte client mission.
  4. Do Sightseer.
  5. Do Headhunter.
  6. Do Terabyte client mission.
  7. Do Sightseer.
  8. Do Headhunter.
AFK Solo Method.
What you'll need.
Steps for AFK solo method.
  1. Buy supplies for Bunker, Coke, Meth and Cash using the Master Control Terminal in the Arcade. With the Nightclub, set the five technicians to South American Imports, Cargo and Shipments, Pharmaceutical Research, Sporting Goods and Cash Creation first.
  2. Now start an easy contact mission in your apartment and go to the couch where the in game TV is and watch it. Once you sit down, then press the right D-Pad to make sure your watching the in game TV otherwise you may get kicked out due to idling or you could stay indoors and rubberband the right thumbstick so the camera moves in circles. Starting a contact mission and doing this AFK method means you won't pay utility bills and you cannot get raided, on top of that you won't lose any Nightclub popularity.
  3. Keep controller charging.
  4. Leave the console or PC on but turn off your real life TV or monitor your using to play the game. If your playing on you real life TV then you can change channels and watch what program you like.
  5. Do whatever you want outside the game such as school, work or whatever things you need to do, you can even leave your console/PC on overnight if you want.
  6. When your ready to comeback, turn your TV/monitor on and finish the contact mission. If South American Imports and Pharmaceutical Research is full then assign the two other technicians to Organic Produce and Printing and Copying since there's seven types of product and there's only five technicians to collect them assuming you bought all of the technicians. If South American Imports and Pharmaceutical Research isn't full yet then continue to AFK until they're filled up or you can also sell MC Businesses and Nightclub at this point if you want or otherwise continue to number 7.
  7. Once South American Imports and Pharmaceutical Research is finally full, set technicians to Organic Produce and Document Forgery. Start another easy contact mission to AFK again.
  8. Now once Organic Produce and Printing and Copying is filled up (takes 26.6 and 15 hours respectively to fill up), you can either sell the Bunker and MC Businesses or continue to AFK until Sporting Goods and Cargo and Shipments fill up. (Scroll up and follow step 3 or fast step 3 while selling the Bunker and MC Businesses).
  9. Repeat 1-6 or 1-8.
Additional AFK tips.
If board from doing the steps.
Grinding the same steps over and over again can get boring overtime.
Beginners guide: Properties ranked by necessity
Based on Beginners guide: Properties ranked by Necessity by CretaceousFossil. Related: GTA Online property location guide, if you are wondering what the difference is between locations. For moneymaking specifics see /gtaonline's pinned weekly Mega Guide thread.
  1. An Apartment, Stilthouse, or Penthouse: The #1 property every player should have by Level 30 is an apartment. While they may be less effective property for earning money, they definitely have advantages. You can spawn there safely, not having to worry about spawn killing by griefers. If another player is relentlessly chasing you down, even if you own no other properties, you can evade them. And finally, its nice to feel like an actual resident of Los Santos. Also its the only way to do the regular heists as a host.
  2. CEO Office or Biker Clubhouse: It mainly comes down to what you like. You might like the clean, authoritative, high-rise feel of being a CEO, or you might like the gritty, street-level, rock'n'roll style of an MC president. However one or the other, is the second property you should invest in or at least prioritize. With the CEO Office, you won't need to make sure you have your 50,000 dollars every-time you join the game. Although the missions that come with the CEO are monotonous and underwhelming, so many of the other properties on this list require you to be a CEO or MC President to operate. As an MC president you have the ability to spawn in any bike you own, next to you with, no cooldown (except for the Oppressor Mk2); and as a CEO you have the ability to spawn in Organization vehicles (see #Organization_Vehicles on how to unlock them). You can also get free snacks at the Assistant in the Office.
  3. Bunker: If you are beginner or someone who doesn't own a ton of Mk2 weapons or weaponized vehicles, the money is definitely the best part. The resupply missions are fairly easy (but once you have both production upgrades, you should buy supplies), and most of the sell missions without rival players are a breeze. Whenever you are online and you have supplies in the Bunker, it is passively producing. This allows you to do other activities in the meantime. However besides the money, if you wish to own a lot of Mk2 Weapons and maybe a weaponized vehicle, the research does pay off. Also this property allows you to buy an MOC. While the interior may seem like a bunch of gray, drab, ugly, concrete tunnels at first, once you get the golf carts, sleeping quarters, shooting range, upgrades, and the yellow paint job its gives a nice industrial/laboratory feel.
  4. Vehicle Warehouse: Import/Export is one of the best solo money-making methods. There is no upfront cost as with Special Cargo but if done correctly it can still net a good $200k per hour (or more, combined with VIP jobs). The Specialized Vehicles stored in the basement are rather lackluster though, Rockstar introduced much more powerful weaponized vehicles since then, most of them even cheaper and customizable.
  5. (Special Cargo) Warehouse or MC Business: The warehouse's drop-shipping style buy & sell formula makes it the most straightforward and it's a good way to introduce beginners to selling. However, there are definitely some flaws with this option. While the selling yields good profits, if you lose your cargo, your losing time and money. Open-Road Businesses are similar in idea to gunrunning. Steal or buy supplies and wait for your stock to build up. However they don't pay that well, and are obsolete compared to other businesses.
  6. Nightclub: The nightclub definitely has some very good benefits. You get a free Speedo Custom right off the bat, which at first is a "so-so" vehicle, but once you have all the vehicle upgrades, the armor plating, the minigun, and mines, it's a very fun and effective vehicle. While the cargo accrues quite slowly, if you are patient and play the business battle missions, you will have some considerable stock. Plus you can purchase the Terrorbyte, more info on it below. For the Nightclub to be most effective you should own (and run, that is not have it shut down) other businesses, as the stock is generated from linked businesses. Keeping the Nightclub at higher levels of popularity will put more money every 24 ingame hours (48 minutes IRL) into your safe. Every ingame day decreases the popularity by 5% (1/4 of a popularity bar), changing DJs for $10k (once you unlocked them for $100k - this maxes out popularity) will up your popularity by 10% (half of a bar). Or you may wait a couple ingame days and do a popularity mission which increases popularity by 1.5 bar. You can see how much cash gets added into your safe (capacity: $70k) every day: https://gta.fandom.com/wiki/Nightclubs#Cash
  7. Terrorbyte (requires Nightclub): The Terrorbyte is a really great vehicle. Besides having a literal base inside in a truck, which is sweet, it is incredibly functional. The missions have awesome pay considering the level of effort/hassle needed to complete them, plus you can remotely launch resupply missions for any of your businesses. If you decide to buy this truck, make sure you have over $1.2m extra, to get the drone station and missiles (though the latter is not very useful), and you if don't own a Mk2 weapon workshop, getting one with the terrorbyte is a good idea.
  8. Arcade: The Arcade provides another passive income (max $5k per day) to the player while also giving the player the ability to host Casino Heists which pay really well if the player knows what they are doing. The passive income depends on how many games are placed, you may even just place the same games in every slot to achieve the highest possible payout, you don't have to buy all the machines. Owning a Terrorbyte makes you able to hire Paige as hacker, which is necessary for good Casino Heist runs to max out the time you can spend grabbing loot (or you may alternatively unlock Avi Schwartzman as a hacker).
  9. Facility: The facility although one of the more expensive properties, can get you some serious cash and XP from the Doomsday Heists, plus the front desk has free snack. This is my favorite property just because of how expansive it is. With the wall designs, color scheme, fully upgraded quarters, and statues you get after the heists, its very aesthetically pleasing and is a good way to impress.
  10. Garage (standalone property): If you are too broke to afford an apartment because you don't that much time to play or apartments are not your thing, put this at number 1 over the apartment as the first property to buy. However although being able to to store cars, garages are obsolete considering you can add garages and garage levels to nightclub, and apartments and the facilities include garages. Also you can't set your spawn location to standalone garages.
  11. Mobile Operations Center (MOC) or Avenger): While both have a better bang for your buck than the warehouse, they aren't that crucial for beginning players. The MOC at first is very barebones and while there are missions that can be launched from it, they require multiple players and can't be launched in freemode. The Avenger can be a useful vehicle for freemode jobs (such as Hangar missions or Facility/Arcade preps) but it's definitely not necessary.
  12. Hangar: If you love flying in GTA Online and want to spend all your money on planes, this is the property for you. However, if you want to make money, it's not a very good option. Crates are only worth $10k each and the missions require some flying skills, and only give 1 crate per player in the MC or Organization, with a maximum of 4. The sale missions also require flying skills, some even more than the sourcing missions and some of them can't really be done solo.
  13. Arena Workshop: With the paint job, decals, and office, the Arena Workshop can be made to look very cool, and with the weapons workshop you can add weapons to vehicles and upgrade guns. You also have access to the Arena War career, which allows you to unlock discount prices for outfits and vehicle mods (albeit randomly, so it's not a very effective model), and the base prices for the upgardes are very steep. This property is over a million, so unless you are planning to buy a ton of discounted items or you just love Arena War, wait out on this one or skip it altogether.
  14. Casino Master Penthouse: Basically a very expensive apartment, with very expensive modular upgrades and decorations. You can also add a 10-car garage for $900k. It also lets you do the Casino Missions (from Agatha Baker) as a host, which upon completion awards the player with the Paragon R (Armored)) car, which is exclusively available from here.
  15. CEO Office Garage: Unless you are super rich and own more cars than you know what to do with, make this property dead last. It costs millions to add more levels. You can add a Custom Auto Shop (for even more money) with it to custom your cars straight from the garage though.
  16. Yacht: Big floating apartment on water, gives you the option to play one extra type of VIP job. Not a priority.
GTA Online property location guide
General rule of thumb: do not buy businesses in Paleto Bay, the only exception is if you really like to run Doomsday Heist Act 2 finale, in which case this is the best location (terrible for all other acts). Yes, they are cheap but it's a pain in the ass to do anything from all the way north.
Locations in the city are always more expensive but the most expensive spots are not always the best spots!
I will try to not go into business specifics, for moneymaking guides see /gtaonline's pinned weekly Mega Guide thread.
Related: Beginners guide: Properties ranked by necessity
Apartments and garages
You can purchase apartments after reaching Rank 5. Location doesn't matter generally, though you might want to keep a few things in mind.
You can set apartments as a spawning location, you will spawn there when joining a freeroam session (not when leaving from a job).
There are apartments that can be used to set up heists, you may want to choose a location for your heist apartment near a highway access point as quite a lot of heist setups play in Blaine County.
Most apartments come with a garage, but you can also buy standalone garages, these are slightly cheaper than buying an apartment with the same size garage. You can not set standalone garages as your spawning location.
Offices
Buying an office will allow you to become a permanent CEO (as opposed to a VIP which is temporary). It also comes with a lot of purchasable extras. Interior layout is always the same.
Locations
The cheapest Office is Maze Bank West at $1m base price. It's a decent location but with a horrible roof helipad access (lots of stairs). Also most people will have this so if you play in populated lobbies, be wary of hostiles. Highway access nearby, a couple blocks away.
The next one is Arcadius Business Center in Downtown Los Santos, next to the Del Perro Highway at $2.25m base price. The roof access is slightly better than Maze Bank West but not by much. The garages can be accessed from the underground parking lot (where you can't sprint for some weird Rockstar reason).
Lombank West is 1 block away from Maze Bank West and it costs $3.1m. It has the best roof access of all of the offices. You can parachute straight to Del Perro Beach where you can spawn Personal Aircraft (stored in Hangar). It also probably has the best view of all offices. The garage access is terrible though, vehicles with a low base and a tendency to burn out (such as the Hermes) might get stuck trying to exit.
Maze Bank Tower in Downtown LS (near Arcadius) is the worst of the four in effectiveness. It costs $4m at its base price, it's the tallest office, meaning if you want to land on the helipad for quick entrance (press E on PC, probably honk interaction on controllers), you have to gain a lot of altitude. It also has the worst front door and garage access. The view is okay from inside. Roof helipad access has stairs, same as Arcadius.
(Special Cargo) Warehouses
Sourcing missions can be all over the city, sometimes even outside. Always try to get one with an easy highway access because even if you use a helicopter or other nefarious flying vehicle to get to the product, you may still have to drive it back to the warehouse.
Best locations for large warhouses are: Wholesale Furniture in Cypress Flats ($1.9m, cheapest), and Darnel Bros Warehouse in La Mesa ($3.5m, most expensive).
Vehicle Warehouses
9 locations. Can be spawning point by default. While the cheapest has a good highway access (La Mesa), it is a very popular spot for its price so you may have to be wary in populated lobbies, as players like to camp it to steal your sourced vehicles, or just to destroy them (watch for proximity mines). It's also in a gang neighbourhood so if shots are fired (by NPCs chasing you) you might get shot at by them, causing damage to your delivered vehicle. Some of the other locations are too far away from highways, anything on the southern side of the map is probably a bad idea.
La Puerta and Murrieta Heights locations are pretty good and no gang presence nearby. Davis is a very good location too but it's on the border of two opposing gangs.
Clubhouses
Will allow you to become an MC President and also run MC Businesses. You can monitor the production progress of your Businesses from here. You can also start MC Contracts (similar to VIP jobs, they even share cooldowns) and upgrade it with a Custom Bike Shop, allowing you to do Benny's customization on your bikes (where applicable). Naturally it also allows you to store 10 motorbikes. You can also set it as your spawning point.
Most MC Contracts take place in or near the city and even if your Businesses are in Blaine County (more on this later) you might want to have your Clubhouse in the city so you can more easily check on your businesses remotely (having an Arcade totally negates this need though, more on that later).
There are two interior layout variants, one with a second floor (such as Vespucci Beach) and one with only ground floor (such as Del Perro).
MC Businesses
For MC Businesses, the main thing about location is that you can sell to a local region (default price) or to a remote location (higher price, you want to choose this). If your business is in Blaine County, the remote location is in Los Santos city, and vice versa. For this reason having any businesses in the southern part of the map (Elysian Island, Terminal etc) or in Paleto Bay/Grapeseed is a very bad idea. Either buy them in the northern parts of Los Santos or in the southern parts of Blaine County.
So here is the list:
OR
I omitted Document Forgery for a reason, it's not worth running it.
Bunker
Several upgrades, you can add accomodation to be able to set it as a spawning point. Similarly to MC Businesses you can sell to a local or remote location. Since all of the locations are in Blaine County, the remote sales will always be in or near the city. Therefore Bunker locations that are closer to the city are better, the best three are the following (sorted by price, Farmhouse is the best location-wise):
Hangar
Hangars can be used to store your personal aircraft and to source crates which then you can sell. Two main locations are LSIA and Fort Zancudo, each have three hangar spots but you can only own 1 of the 6 in total. Upgrading with Living Quarters will allow you to set it as a spawning point.
Missions are all around the map but mostly somewhere in the northern parts of the city or the middle section of the entire map. Thus LSIA locations are really a bad choice if you ever want to do Hangar jobs. Otherwise it might be useful because you can only spawn personal aircraft, personal vehicles or CEO vehicles on LSIA grounds if you have a hangar here.
Having a Hangar in Ft Zancudo means you have a low level clearance, you will be allowed on the base and to fly over without getting shot down, this persists in any activity in freeroam.
Without question the best Zancudo hangar is "Fort Zancudo Hangar 3499". This is the westernmost of the three, it's the one with the middle range price with a $2.65m base price, the most expensive one in the middle of the military base is $3.25m and the cheapest on the eastern part is $2.085m.
The two main reasons why the westernmost hangar is the best:
Facility
Facilities are used in Doomsday Heists. Majority of the preps, setups and finales are in or near the city and all Facilities are in Blaine County, similarly to Bunkers. Therefore it's a good idea to own a Facility somewhere close to the city. Upgrading with Sleeping Quarters will allow you to set it as a spawning point.
Good locations are the following ones (sorted by accesibility):
The exception is if you are doing Act 2 finales a lot, in which case you may want to have Paleto Bay, but doing basically every other setup and finale will be a pain in the ass from there.
Nightclub
Again, highway access counts only for the very few setup missions (+getting the DJs the first time). If you have a good highway access, the location doesn't matter much, it's mostly area preference.
La Mesa, Strawberry, Del Perro are all great. Atmosphere-wise probably Del Perro, Strawberry and Vespucci are the best, with the two Vinewood locations if that's your thing.
Arcade
There are two arcades in Blaine County (Paleto Bay and Grapeseed), you should quickly forget about those if you want to host Casino Heists because the finale is in the city and it's a really long way, not to mention doing all the preps from that far. The only location I would advise against in the city is the Vinewood location (the most expensive) as it's really far from any type of highway, though Del Perro and Davis isn't really great either.
The best arcade is the cheapest in the city: La Mesa. It's very close to the Casino (great for finale) and to 3 highways, and since some of the preps take place very far in Blaine County, you will probably want to use the Avenger or personal aircraft (if you have any) to fly there. It's right next to the Los Santos Storm Drain, where you can spawn personal aircraft and the Avenger. The Terrorbyte spawns 2 blocks away as well.
Yachts
Yachts are probably the last type of property you want to blow money on, as it doesn't really provide much. I also suggest waiting for a sale on yachts as they are insanely overpriced.
There are 3 variants, the exterior differs slightly with every one of them and they come with different boats and helicopter. The GTA wiki has a very detailed list on them: https://gta.fandom.com/wiki/Galaxy_Super_Yacht#Models
The cheapest variant, the Orion is not worth it, in my opinion. It's only 1m cheaper ($6m) than the Pisces and it lacks a hot tub and doesn't spawn with a helicopter on the helipad (as far as I know?).
The middle priced variant, the Pisces ($7m) comes with a hot tub and a regular helicopter on one of the helipads (yes, this one has 2).
The most expensive one at a $8m base price, the Aquarius has a more expensive speedboat and helicopter spawning with it. It also has minor changes to the deck.
In my personal opinion the Pisces has the best layout, but I'm sure there are plenty of review videos on YouTube so you can decide for yourself.
It costs $25k to move the yacht every time, you can find a map with all locations (2-3 spots in every location) here. If the location where you yacht is already taken by another one when joining a session, your yacht will be moved temporarily to the nearest possible location. When you join a session where the spot your yacht was parked originally is free, your yacht will spawn in that location.
Questions and Answers from my GTA Online money making guide.
I recommend looking at my GTA Online guides first before reading this Q&A.
Well set players: https://www.reddit.com/usexInfected_Virus/comments/epd9w4/solo_money_making_guide_for_new_and_well_set/
New players: https://www.reddit.com/usexInfected_Virus/comments/epdbs2/solo_money_making_guide_for_new_players/
Questions and Answers.
Q: Don't they have plenty of other guides like this on the GTA Online Mega Guide Thread?
A: This guide combines VIP work Headhunter, Special cargo, Vehicle cargo, Bunker, MC Businesses, Nightclub, Terrorbyte and Arcade with Master Control Terminal in one guide assuming everyone has those businesses. The Mega Guide thread definitely helped me make this this guide with me putting links of more additional in depth tips from threads on the mega guide on how to do special cargo missions, vehicle cargo missions, Bunker, MC Businesses and Nightclub. I also posted the Mega Guide link twice in this guide for more in depth info and more in depth tips such as the original heist guide for newer players.
Not many people know how to do the Biker business solo thus why they're giving up on it so that's one of many reasons why I'm making my own guide. I would love it if the mods put this guide on the GTA Online Mega Guide thread so it can get more attention and help other players. Also some but not all of the poor to rich type guides are outdated e.g no golden revolver headshot challenge or Maude's bounties with stone hatchet challenges that earn $250,000 upon each completion yet but they still give good information on how to get started so still look at those guides when in doubt. I'm looking to offer something new in 2020.
Q: What links did you use from the GTA Online Mega Guide Thread?
A: The main guide itself of course. https://www.reddit.com/gtaonline/comments/8xvpow/the_gta_online_mega_guide/
https://www.reddit.com/gtaonline/comments/5tzgfk/guide_for_vehicle_cargo_imports/
Not sure this is from the Mega Guide but I'll link it anyways. https://www.reddit.com/gtaonline/comments/95crke/nightclub_profit_and_popularity_guide_not/
Q: Why doesn't this guide include the Hanger Business?
A: Because the Hanger business is designed to have multiple players in your CEO organization and collecting crates solo can take up to 10 minutes and you only make $10,000 per crate while you can be making $22,000 in three minutes doing Headhunter or $31,000 in three or four minutes doing Terrorbyte missions Diamond Shopping, Targeted Data and Robbery in Progress.
Q: I'm broke but I have all the businesses the main guide requires including a fully upgraded bunker or MC Businesses (Coke, Meth and Cash) and Nightclub with all upgrades and technicians.
A: Follow the steps on the main guide as normal and you should be all good.
Q: Why not do the Doomsday Heist instead for newer players?
A: The facility is expensive around two million dollars for one in a decent location whereas a high end apartment for original heist only costs $200,000 and you can get around $2,000,000-2,500,000 million after finishing the original heist assuming you got all the extra bonuses and done all of them on hard with having 55% cut on the last four finales and 60% cut on the Fleeca finale. Doomsday heist missions are also hard because of the insane accuracy of the enemy NPCs which will require plenty of resets such as starting the current setup or finale. So paying two million for a facility isn't recommended for newer players.
Q: Why no glitches such as vehicle dupes or Act 2 finale replay?
A: This guide is for players both new and well set who want to earn money legitimately. Money glitching may get you banned and reset so I don't want players to risk losing their hard work and progress.
Q: Does this guide have any glitches?
A: Mostly no except changing your MTU on console or suspending the task manager on PC to get into solo public lobbies to avoid griefers. Other than that; no.
Q: I bought the Criminal Enterprise starter pack and got a free Bunker in Paleto Bay, should I get it?
A: Despite the Paleto Bay Bunker being free it's still a big NO. This is because the sale to Los Santos is a very long drive which takes time to get to the destination. Also most resupply missions take place in Los Santos so it's a very long drive the get the supplies back to the Paleto Bay Bunker.
If not in a solo public lobby, there's a high chance a griefer can come after you on the exposed highway. Your much better off saving up for a Bunker in Farmhouse or Chumash since they're closer to the city.
Q: Speaking of Criminal Enterprise Starter pack; should I get it and if I do get it what should I do?
A: No; it's not worth spending real life money on the Criminal Enterprise Starter pack.
But if you do get it it already has a free CEO Office, MC Clubhouse in Great Chapparal and a Counterfeit Cash business in Grand Senora Desert. Since you have free $1,000,000 then buy a high end apartment in Del Perro and start the original Heist. Scroll up and follow the "My Guide To Get Rich For New Players" for more.
Q: I'm rank 25 but the host keeps kicking me out of their Heist finales or setups before it even begins, why is that?
A: Because they don't trust lower ranked players from finishing the heist because they have a bad experience from lower level players not knowing what to do or constantly dying thus spending plenty of times of constant resetting if a low level player keep failing or dying so they're not even going to bother with them and kick them out in a heartbeat.
Q: Wanted level won't go away at the Prison Break finale after everyone boards the plane even flying for hours still won't get rid of your wanted level?
A: I think it's glitched due to bad connection that if a person already has their wanted level flashing away and the person with bad connection still has their wanted level thus everyone still gets the five star wanted level. If that's the case then reset the finale, if still doesn't work then change roles and if it still doesn't fix it; your going to need a new crew preferably get players who are in your country or continent for better connection since they're in the same regional servers.
Q: I lost too much money while doing the Pacific Standard Heist?
A: Restart the Heist.
Q: How do I destroy all 10 Duggan shipments and should I even bother destroying them?
A: You need a Buzzard to destroy all of them on time. With enemies on boats and helicopters, fly behind them and spam rockets and they should be destroyed. Buzzard is quick enough to get from one end of the map to another. Hunter or Akuka also works as well if not better.
Yes you should destroy them especially doing the aggressive approach because the guards have armour and helmets that they take so much bullets to kill via headshot. On top of that, they also have and assault shotgun which shreds through your health in an instant. Destroying all of them means the guards won't have any armour, helmets and they'll only be equipped with a pistol.
Q: When should I start buying other properties such as a Doomsday Facility, Casino Penthouse and Hanger. Also when should I start buying vehicles such as weaponized vehicles, planes and supercars?
A: Once you have all the businesses required for this guide and you follow the steps everyday so you can save up on whatever you want to buy.
Q: Now that you mentioned the Casino Penthouse, should I get it so I can do the Casino Penthouse missions.
A: No, because the basic model costs $1,500,000 and the max payout assuming you finish all six missions is approximately $1,100,000 dollars. Only get it if you can do most of the steps on the main "Well set" guide.
Q: I read the main "Well Set" guide already and know what to do. I want to get my friend who's new to the game to make easy money, how much will they make?
A: Assuming your doing Step 1 Import/Export Method. Terrorbyte mission pays them $31,000 with Headhunter $21,000 and another Terrorbyte mission $31,000. They gain also $5,000 per fifteen minutes with additional $500 per successful source mission (crates or vehicle cargo) and $10,000 per sell mission. They'll make approximately $100,000 per cycle or approximately $300,000 per hour just for helping. They lose $250 per fifteen minutes though if the CEO dies.
Once you move to Step 3 Selling Bunker and MC Businesses; the associate will get 10% of the sale capping at $30,000 on top of the extra $1,000-5,000 bonus per successful mission. Best to sell Bunker as MC so your associate can get $21,000 instead of $10,000 per successful sell mission (assuming you only bought one supply batch and your Bunker is fully upgraded).
I maybe wrong on this though, if so then let me know.
Q. Is the Buzzard better than the Oppressor MK II for grinding and why should I get the Buzzard before the MK II Oppressor?
A: Overall as a grinder vehicle, I'd stick with the Buzzard because it can be consistently spawned using the CEO Interaction menu to spawn vehicles. The MK II Oppressor has a five minute cooldown after it gets destroyed or you returned it to storage and plus it remains at the location where you have picked up the vehicle cargo while doing source vehicle mission or on crate missions where all the crates is in a vehicle thus you have to leave the MK II Oppressor at the location. With the Buzzard you can easily spawn another.
The reason why you should get the Buzzard first is because it's cheaper and already comes with homing missiles whereas the MK II Oppressor costs more and you require the Terrorbyte to install the homing missiles which are limited to 20 and already costs a lot on top of needing to own a Nightclub which you need in order to purchase the Terrorbyte. I recommend getting the MK II Oppressor once your well set.
I know some will disagree with me here but personally I still use the Buzzard more than the Oppressor MK II for grinding with the Oppressor MK II being used for some missions and as a supplement grinding vehicle with it's better missiles and being easier to land in tight places.
Q. Why should I buy supplies for the Bunker and MC Businesses, isn't it more worth it to steal since your not paying $75,000 to purchase supplies?
A: Depends if it has upgrades or not. If it has full upgrades then it's not worth stealing because you can be doing other things such as doing Step 1 Import/Export guide while your businesses makes product in the background. Doing Step 1 I/E method makes more than enough money to pay off the supplies. You can also easily make money back by sourcing and selling vehicle cargo after you sell product from an MC Business or Bunker.
If it has one upgrade, steal supplies until you have three bars or 60% of the supply bar is filled and buy the rest.
If it has no upgrades then yes, I suggest stealing until the supply bar is full to make maximum profits.
Q: Should I get security upgrades on the Bunker, MC Businesses and Nightclub?
A: For Bunker and MC Businesses no. With Bunker if you stay under 50% of product you shouldn't be raided since buying one full supply batch gives you 20% of product. With the MC Businesses, make sure to register inside the MC Business and disband immediately after selling to prevent getting raided. For the Nightclub yes because there's less chance of getting raided. I have the security upgrade on the Nightclub and done the AFK method several times and not one time did I get raided, just make sure your not registered as a CEO or MC President while AFK.
Q: Why do the Steps have "Repeat 1-5 or 1-8" instead of "Repeat steps 1-5 or steps 1-8"?
A: To make it clearer so people don't get confused from "repeat steps 1-7" which some people will think but there's no step six or seven. Most people shouldn't get confused though but I want to make this guide as clear as possible so no one gets confused.
Q: Is it worth doing Nightclub popularity mission to keep your Nightclub popularity full?
A: No since the missions are pretty long and your much better off switching DJs every 90 minutes to prevent losing popularity and get back to what your doing quickly.
Q: Is selling two Post OP Van missions possible while selling the MC Businesses from Los Santos?
A: Yes if your quick and if your Coke, Meth and Cash is NOT in Elysian Island or Terminal because it'll be much harder or impossible to sell two Post Op Vans. Make sure the Coke, Meth and Cash is in northern Los Santos if you already bought those Los Santos locations.
Q: About the MC Businesses, I bought the ones in Paleto Bay or Elysian Island/Terminal, also my Bunker is in Paleto Bay or in a location other than Farmhouse of Chumash; should I move my MC Businesses to Sandy Shores/Grand Senora Desert and my Bunker to Farmhouse or Chumash?
A: Yes, if you have the money to do so because you have to re-buy the upgrades once you change locations although you get half on what you spent on the location back unless you got the Paleto Bay Bunker through the Criminal Enterprise Starter pack, which in that case, you can't get any rebates from moving to a different location.
Q: Other than MC Businesses and Bunker should I move my other businesses and Bunker away from Paleto Bay?
A: Yes again, since most missions take place in Los Santos. Don't be tempted to get the free arcade in Paleto Bay if your a Twitch Prime subscriber, instead buy one of the locations in Los Santos. With the facility, this is entirely up to you if you want to move.
Q: Ok but why should I NOT buy a business in Paleto Bay?
A: Because most of the resupply missions for the MC Businesses, Bunker and Arcade/Casino Heist setups take place in Los Santos and it's a long drive or flight back to those businesses. You might be lucky and a resupply mission takes place in Paleto Bay but overall it's not worth it. Also sell missions are very far from Los Santos should you choose to sell remote and unnecessary amount of time is being wasted in trying to get back to collect another vehicle while you already reached that second vehicle if you sell from the Sandy Shores businesses.
If your not in a solo public lobby, there's a higher chance griefers can come after you and destroy your product since your open on the highway and your most likely not even half way to your destinations when you could've arrived their if you sold from the Sandy Shores MC Business or Farmhouse/Chumash Bunker.
I think I mentioned something like this in an earlier question above.
Q: I want to move my Bunker, MC Business and Arcade out of Paleto Bay but don't have the required funds yet although I'm more than willing to re-buy upgrades for them. How do I still do solo sell missions from Paleto Bay.
A: With the MC Businesses assuming you have the upgrades, sell in the Blaine County area. With the Bunker sell remote to Los Santos as normal but make sure your in a solo public or peaceful grinder lobby to avoid being griefed. Still buy supplies though since you still make a profit (except on the Document Forgery) if they have full upgrades. Half upgraded, steal until three bars and no upgrades steal until bar is full. Good luck with the long drive back from Los Santos.
Q: Why do players buy businesses in Paleto Bay anyways?
A: Because players get duped in buying the cheapest location for the Bunker and the Arcade. Another reason I hear is because to get away from other players and tryhards/griefers, you can go into a solo public lobby to fix this problem. Don't be tempted at any costs in getting a Paleto Bay business.
Personally, I have a medium house with a six car garage there only because I have plenty of money and only wanted a property in Paleto Bay just for the sake of it.
Q: A majority of players suggest getting the Farmhouse or Chumash Bunker but which one of those two should I get since I know they're both closest to the city. I'm torn apart on what to choose from?
A: This is a hard choice to be honest, I can see why many people suggest since they're closest to the city and both are next to a freeway. Since the guide suggest buying supplies, you'll be doing sell missions most of the time.
Here are the sell missions you get and which location is best for which missions. Feel free to disagree with me here, this is from my experience from doing Bunker sell missions.
I maybe missing some missions though so let me know which ones I missed.
Price.
Which one should I get?: Personally I'd go with the Farmhouse but it's a bit more expensive than the Chumash which is another great location.
Q: A griefer is coming after me or the vehicle carrying the product got stuck and there's literally no way to get it out or the plane drop mission is glitched thus making it impossible to drop cargo and finish the sell mission, because I spent lots of money buying or lots of time collecting supplies, what should I do?
A: Close the application if on PS4 or dashboard if on Xbox One or find a new session on all platforms. You only lose ten percent of product but at least all that time or money isn't wasted and you get to keep most of the product.
Q: Should I sell in a populated lobby?
A: Yes but only if your certain the other players there are peaceful otherwise a griefer may come after your cargo. Make sure your in a grinding lobby just to be safe.
Q: I have three other players with me in my organization, I know how Step 1 I/E Method works but how should I do the cycle?
A: Instead of selling the car, source the vehicle instead until you have four top range vehicles stored in your warehouse and repeat the cycle since there's a twenty minute cooldown per vehicle sold in one go, so since you sold four vehicles, you'll have a one hour cooldown.
Q: Is selling a full 111 crate warehouse possible solo?
A: Yes, I've sold 111 crates several times solo no problem. The only problem I had was the plane mission with the enemy Buzzard and Valkyrie variant. All I did on that mission is get in the Titan, scout the area with a Buzzard or Hydra, destroy the enemy NPCs, drop the crates off and done. Three Brickades and one tug boat sales are very easy to do.
Q: Should I get the vehicle upgrades for selling the crate warehouse missions?
A: Armour upgrades don't provide extra protection from rockets fired from griefers in MK Oppressor but it may provide extra protection from enemy NPC bullets and explosive rockets from Hydra or Lazer. Bulletproof tyres are useful on the Brickade and speed upgrade is useful on the Tug. Jammer upgrade is near useless on the plane especially if your in a solo public lobby.
The upgrades worth getting are the speed upgrade on the Tug and bulletproof tyres on the Brickade.
So should you get upgrades?: Up to you really.
Q: You mentioned buying supplies from the Master Control Terminal from the Arcade but should I sell my product from there though?
A: No because you have to go all the way to the business your selling from which wastes some sell time just trying to get there. Your much better off selling from the actual business location because the sell vehicle is right there most of the time.
However, not all vehicles spawn at the business location such the Dinghy boat, Dodo plane or Buzzard for the MC Businesses and the Tug and Plane for the crate sell missions. The sell vehicles for the Bunker are always located next to the Bunker, the sell vehicle for the Nightclub is always located next to the Nightclub. You still need to actually go to the vehicle warehouse to sell a car though.
Q: Why do you suggest using the Bati 801RR, isn't it the exact the same as the Bati 801?
A: The Bati 801RR actually has better acceleration than the Bati 801 but they still share the exact same handling and top speed.
Q: Did you have any help while making this guide?
A: A little bit from Youtubers and some threads from the Mega Guide, other Reddit posts and the GTA Forums but I mostly made it with my experience in grinding the businesses. Also the tips I post are mainly from my experience in selling.
Q: Who does this guide cater to?
A: Players who are new or well set.
Hold onto your butts
Crunching The Numbers
'Cause this game is total bullshit. I've been trying to find a way to grind this stupid bitch that makes it worth my time and will finally allow me to make enough to buy all the cool shit, without needing to spend every waking moment of free time on it for months. The first big thing I noticed that I really wanted was a Galaxy Super Yacht.
Contact missions pay out 10k a pop. Take 5-10 minutes as long as nothing goes wrong. Yacht costs what like 10milish? 10k/10min=1k/m, 1mil/1k/m= 1000 minutes per million dollars made. Times 10mil for the yacht. Would take 10,000 minutes of gameplay to buy the yacht with contact missions. Assuming not one thing went wrong in 10,000 minutes so that no mission ever took longer than 10 minutes, and assuming no mission were ever failed. Which is total bullshit. So lets add roughly 33.333% to that to account for ocassional crashed the cahave to extricate it from a ditch, got killed/had to respawn, no good contact missions in the stupid vote menu so you had to load freemode then reload contact missions, rando jumped in your bullshit and fucked it up. The usual. And we'll throw in a +/- 5% margin of error for good measure. So let's say 12,833 to 13,833 minutes divided by 60.
That comes out to anywhere from 213 hours and 52 minutes to 230 hours and 33 minutes of playing this stupid shitty game just to get a boat that does nothing. But wait, obviously no human is capable of playing all that straight so lets assume you are an adult who works full time and you only have time to play games, let's say every other day. And you aren't some horrible moron who only likes, cares about, and plays one game, ever. So lets say you're paying special attention to this one because you have to grind so much to get anything in it so you make sure you play this one in particular once every third game day. That's once every 6 days. So if you start on a Sunday for example, you can play GTA V all day that day. 10 hours! But the next time you play is next Saturday. Ok another 10 hours. But the next one is Friday. Only got time to play for a few hours that day because you had to work all day. But you can stay up late cause the next day is Saturday so let's give you a whopping 6 hours of play time on a weekday. But the next time you play is the next Thursday. A legit weekday with work tomorrow morning. You're gonna be real lucky if you get... 4 hours in. So in a seven week rotation you're going to get a total of 42 hours of playing this game in particular.
213.88 hours (the 0.88 is the 52 minutes) /42 hours per 7 week rotation = 5.09, 7 week rotations. 0.09 of a 42 hour 7 week rotation comes out to 3.78 hours which you can knock out even on a weekday session worth 4 hours so we'll just call that one extra day. 5 x 7 weeks = 35 weeks. 35 weeks x 7 days equals 245 days. 245 days / 30 days to a month comes out to 8.1666666666666666666666666666667 months. Well what the fuck is 0.1666666666666666666666666666667 months? That comes out to 5 days. Plus that extra day from the 0.09.
So in grand total. With a normal human schedule and interests. It would take.
8 months and 6 days of grinding absolutely non-stop contact missions, all day, every day you played, at least once a week, every week for that long. Oh wait! But since you're only playing once every six days, each of those six days would be an extra week. So about one extra month and two weeks.
So it would take 9 months and two weeks of grinding absolutely non-stop contact missions, all day, every day you played, at least once a week, every week.
Just to buy.
ONE.
GODDAMN.
BOAT.
Ok. That's fucking insane. And impossible. Even if you played that much, and I'm sure some of us do, no one in the universe could possibly have the discipline to absolutely never do anythign other than grind for cash. If you ever just fuck around or, god forbid, dare I say, have fun playing this video game instead of grinding???? Yeah, that's gonna add up and double or tripple this time. It's never gonna happen.
But oh, wait, thank god, there's VIP missions! Which pay out about 20K and take about as long? Hey that's great. That cuts your time in half to 4 months and 3 weeks!
Except that's also impossible because even if you played that much, and I'm sure some of us do, no one in the universe could possibly have the discipline to absolutely never do anythign other than grind for cash. If you ever just fuck around or, god forbid, dare I say, have fun playing this video game instead of grinding???? Yeah, that's gonna add up and double or tripple this time. It's never gonna happen.
My Abusive Relationship With Grand Theft Auto
Honestly, if it weren't GTA I would've killed this game with fire years ago. But since it is GTA, my all time favorite franchise, and because I'm a moron. I keep, fucking, coming back and trying to force this game to be fun and not a complete waste of my life.
So, eventually, after years of playing once every six months to a year for a couple of weeks or so 'till i get so goddamn disgusted by the pointless never gonna get anywhere grind whenever you're not getting griefed, admit to myself that GTA is a dead franchise and quit again. GTA IV was lame as fuck for being so goddamn tiny, and having none of the variety of vehicles that defined the franchise, and taking out like half the weapons (without the overpriced DLC). And V at least is a decent size again but has been rendered an unplayable abomination by the microtransactions. After years of this I finally made enough to buy a bunker. I mean I made a million a few times. Every time I quit playing, I would blow all the money I had made on whatever cars I could afford at the time. I had made maybe 10 million over the years some goddamn how, but only in 800k-1.5mil increments at most and then blowing it all when I quit. So I had a Bugatti, high end apartments, a stilt house, a Buzzard, and a Technical. But no Yacht.
I don't know how long the bunker had been out. Actually this was just 6 months or so before the Double GTA$ bunker sales event. Whenever that was, that's when I got a bunker for the first time. I stole supplies, and waited until they converted to stock. At first I was pissed at how little stock had been produced from the supplies, and how many times I'd have to run steal missions to completely fill my stock. But then I realized how HUGE that sale would be, like, half a million dollars in one mission!
Finally something worth my time! I could by the Yacht, or anything else I want in this game! In just 20 missions! That's achievable! If I do one mission per day that's just 20 days! So I grinded the fuck out of those resupply missions and completely filled my bunker. And it was around 500k in stock! I was so excited!
I finally launched the sell mission, with like a 250k bonus for selling further away! And then got butt fucked with three different Phantom wedges, and only 14 minutes to do the mission in. I had no crew. I tried to run one at a time and just hoped for the best??? It notified me all the other players could see my cargo, which I assumed was just the one I was driving because I was driving it, and that all other vehicles would not be in play until I started driving them.
Some shitbag blew up the other two trucks at my bunker before I was halfway to LS. Some other, or the same, fuck head griefed me and I lost the entire sale. After probably a week of griding steal supplies, which I didn't even realize at the time actually pauses stock production for no reason other than to fuck the player over one more of million different ways of ass fucking the player that are built into this game because if they were'nt no one would buy the microtransactions. Thanks Rockstar, real nice.
My whole xbox was damn lucky it didn't go out the window that day. Why the fuck this game didn't, I still don't know.
The Grind Guide
Anyway, later I stumbled on a grind guide, posted of all places, here.
Whatdayaknow, it recommended ignoring all other businesses but the bunker! It noted that you don't actually get a bonus for selling higher volume so there's no reason to take the risk/rely on randos or undependables for a crew to do a multivehicle sale! It recommended selling one unit of supplies converted to stock at a time, which always comes in one vehicle. And buying supplies instead of stealing because the later was too time consuming and paused production. You could make about 200k a pop, two hours to produce, grind VIP work and AFK between sales and you can make a million a day! With a fully upgraded bunker of course.
If I had a fully upgraded bunker, I could have probably made 10+ mil that week. In fact, everyone else did, I remember now because everyone was getting ready for the Casino update.
But since I had rage quit this game after fully stocking a bunker and losing everything to griefers first try I never had got the upgrades. So I spent at least half the 2x payout event just upgrading to maximize my returns. Fun fact, my first sale I broke even on because I took the buying supplies advice and turns out that is not cost effective without the upgrades! But eventually I did get the upgrades and did make a little cash after that before the event was over.
Eh. I made some ok cash. Got some pretty cool shit, I thought.
Got an Avenger, with a weaponized vehicle workshop, and an armory. Duplicated my Technical as a personal vehicle. Upgraded my marksman rifle to a MKII. Got an aircraft hangar because ever since I had gotten my Buzzard, first big purchase, I had always HATED that you had to call that stupid assed pegasus service instead of just having your own hangar like GTA San Andreas.
Hey that's got a business too! Yeah the grind guide recommended ignoring everything but the bunker, but might as well check it out right?
Looks like you can make some serious cash with a bulk sale of narcotics. But since you have to source it one crate at a time for 50 crates... hm lets crunch the numbers again yeah?
Assuming 10 mintues to source each crate. You gotta put in 500 minutes!!! just to fill one cargo category! And you can still get griefed when you try to sell it and lose it all! And since you made not one penny in all the sourcing missions... Another business designed to waste your time! Typical Rockstar bullshit!
Anyway. Before I knew it the 2x payout event was over.
Bunker work pays not shit at the regular rate. 400k per solo sale is something I could work with, only 5 hours to make a million. Now 10? I've still made some more after, like half the stuff I bought was after 2x was over. I just got the avenger and hangar during the event. All upgrades after. But there was nothing remotely fun about all that grind, 2x or not, but especially the not part. That's why it's called grind. If it were fun we'd just call it playing. What are video games supposed to be for again? Because I'm pretty sure grinding is exactly what the fuck I already do at my actual goddamn job all goddamn shitty fucking day. Just to come home and grind GTA too? Because that's what GTA is now? No thanks.
Counter Griefing? It's Not Happening
I've been getting griefed non stop in this game for the past 5 years and I can never do anything to stop anyone! I bought a buzzard. Jesus fucking christ are you fucking kidding me. The twin mini guns take like 2-3 seconds of continous fire to kill a car. Doesn't sound like much, but when the car is moving, and the bird is moving, and you have to point the aircraft at the car because the guns don't aim independently, and the aircraft moves in whatever direction you point it because it's a rotary wing aircraft, which means you fly over your target by aiming at it then have to come back around to strafe it again, and it's constantly wobling around just a little bit, but usually just enough so every other pass you line everything up right, only to watch your sights wobble AROUND your target. Yeah, if everything lines up perfectly you get hits on target for... 0.25 seconds at a time, tops? And nothing ever lines up perfectly. You gotta follow one car for like 2 goddamn miles just trying to fucking kill the thing. The lock on missiles? Well the blast radius is so pathetic that if it lands more than 8 feet away from a person on foot you don't get the kill which is stupid as fuck. But the lock on missiles? Now those are FUCKED. If you lock on to one man on foot and he's running, it's going to miss every single goddamn time. An NPC can literally OUTRUN the missiles, ON FOOT. Just trying to do headhunter, you literally have to wait for the target vehicle to stop at an intersection because if you fire lock on missiles at it while moving 19 out of 10 miss completely. Of course! An NPC can outrun the goddamn things on foot!
Once or twice I got lucky enough to take out another actual player on foot using the dumb fire rockets. But you gotta fucking snipe those fuckers with those goddamn things! And god help you if they've got lock on missiles, which everyone does. If they're in a car, you're NEVER going to kill another player with a buzzard. If they have ANY kind of armored or weaponized vehicle whatsoever? Yeah you're totally fucked. People wipe Buzzards off their windshields like dragonflies in this game, "ew" that's it.
Got the Technical. Can't shoot it myself. Don't have a crew. One time I was getting griefed by an Oppressor and I figured, hey it's an open aircraft...bike? And the technical MG should pretty much be a one shot kill, and it's an MG so it sprays. Spawned it, by some miracle managed to get to it, and get on it without getting killed before the OP showed up. Put the sights on him and opened fire, kept shooting at him for like 5 seconds nonstop MG fire before he got a missile off and insta killed me. Somehow managed not to get hit once. He wasn't even dodging! He was hovering, and I had the sights right on him for a second, and when I saw that wasn't working adjusted down a little for the recoil for a few more seconds, nothing. Not one hit. Totally fucking useless. How? I have no clue. You get caught infront of that fucking DSHKA you should be instadead in ANY AIRCRAFT. The only thing it shouldn't blow up instantly is any light armored land vehicle. Just the other day I thought to myself, no way, it has to do SOMETHING. So I spawned it and took some shots at a fighter I saw cruising around. Thing turned toward me, I had the hammer down, aimed right at the cockpit, nothing. Thing blew me away. Utterly fucking useless.
For years I've been getting griefed, and I've been thinking I just don't have anthing to hit back with! Those lazers have MGs that cause handgrenade explosions wherever a bullet hits! From a rapid firing MG! And the savage too! I got griefed in a Tank I was stealing for a resupply mission and the thing instakilled A TANK. And every time I make a little money I just blow it on another business that turns out is DESIGNED to do NOTHING but suck more money out of you and not even work to replace it, let alone make more! So the last thing I bought after the Avenger, customizing the Technical, and maxing out my MKII rifle was...
A savage! Finally someting I can grief people in so I can TAKE OUT GRIEFERS!!! And then it turns out the goddamn cannon bullets dissappear into thin air like 50 feet from the barrel of the gun. ARe you fucking kidding me??? The goddamn gun is even shorter range that the fucking missiles!!!! And the missiles are short ranged as fuck too! If you fire a missile at full speed, it blows up less than 100 feet ahead of you. Does that sound far? IT'S NOT WHEN YOU'RE MOVING AT FULL SPEED! It's like if the fucking Army invented a grenade launcher that the grenade airburst 15 goddamn feet away from the barrel! YOu're dead if you ever shoot it! You're sure as fuck never gonna kill anyone else with it! Unless it's the guy standing next to you who's probably on your side. It's Massively more useless than I was expected from the once or twice I've been griefed with them. The best part is how the lock on missiles lock onto oppressors but then just magically don't hit them for no reason even though they're locked on.
And here I sit, just as goddamn griefed as ever.
Is a New Business The Solution?
That brings me to Import/Export. Per usual I made the mistake of lurking in this shithole shrine to a game that used to be the best franchise of all time that now sucks dick. Saw someone ask about how to make money and some dumb useless asshole suggested grinding Import/Export. With a garage full of top end vehicles you can make several million a day! Just ignore all but the high end cars...
So I went back to the grind. Again. And tried. Again.
Made a million, bought maze bank.
Found out you literally get nothing that comes with that purchase what so goddamn ever. You literally can't even do any missions associated with the property until you buy ANOTHER property. Jesus fucking christ. The bunker has upgrades too but at least you can use the goddamn thing immediately after buying what the fuck!
So I make ANOTHER 1.5 million buy a garage. Just got it. Do the first vehicle cargo mission. It's a top end vehicle. The mission was stupid as fuck. NPC driving the car around in a circle at the airport. I parked in front of him and this guy intentionally rams a 2.5 MILLION dollar car into a fucking volvo for getting in his way goddamn. So I had to shoot him out of there, and he doesn't even try to run if you start shooting at him. Which made it easier but still. Stupidest goddamn thing I've ever seen.
I get the car, it's got 13k in damage. I sell high end with another 20k in upgrades for 100k. Eh. 10-15 minutes 100k... not bad? Except. Wait. Minus 33k. I only actually made 66k. Well that's still not bad. Beats VIP work.
Except. There's no way you can select for quality of cars you want to steal, and apparently my 2.5 MILLION DOLLAR BUSINESS will happily deal in stealing and selling 20k cars! Oh by the way 66k is like 2.5% of the value of the car I stole and sold.
So now you have to factor all the time you waste on low end sales into the equation of how much you're making on the high end which is 2.5% the value of the cars. That's a pretty fucking spectacular discount. At MY expense. Has rockstar ever had a sale of 97.5% off ANYTHING in this game??? But every mission I do is for 2.5%. Damn Rockstar. Guess you gotta sell those microtransactions huh?
So I decide I'm not going to waste time on low end cars. I'll just destroy them and fail those missions on purpose to minimize time/space wasted on them and only actually do the high end missions. Then I'll just have to factor all the time wasted blowing up low end cars into the money I make selling the high end one and see how much I actually make over time. I guarangoddamntee you it's not going to be more than just grinding VIP missions would've been in the first place. Even if every export was high end, and if you're lucky 5 minutes stealing, 5 minutes selling, that's about 60K per 10 minutes which is only tripple VIP work. Not bad. EXCEPT throw in getting to, and trashing two low end cars between high end sales, now you're looking at 60k per 20, 30, 35 minutes. Just about at, or LOWER than grinding VIP work!
AND I JUST PAYED 2.5 GODDAMN. MILLION. DOLLARS. For the "privilege" of NOT even being able to make MORE money than VIP WORK with this business!!! I could've saved that money for a goddamn AKULA, which I don't even think has a gun, but at least would get me off the radar and make me a LITTLE harder to grief!!!
BUt don't worry! It's worse! To test my theory I tried a couple more Import/Export missions. The very next one didn't even TELL ME whether it was a high end car or not! Because it's that stupid assed mission where you have to use the picture to find where the car is and even though they knew car value was important enough to text you what the car value is for missions by default, when they change the format the morons forgot to make sure they were still doing that. So I had to go through the whole goddamn mission just to find out it was a midrange car and made like 18 goddamn thousand on it. LESS THAN VIP.
The next mission was for a midrange car but I had to drive really far to get to and destroy it to end the mission. Then go back to the office. The next mission was a mid range car but it was point to point time trial to win it. So there WAS NO CAR for me to be ABLE to destroy to skip the mission. I literally just had to RUN OUT THE FUCKING TIMER.
All told I spent an hour after I bought the garage just feeling out the missions, and I only made about 80k from the first and second sales. Could probably make 100-150k per hour grinding VIP. Total waste of the 2.5 million dollar buy in. Which is exactly what Rockstar WANTED it to be, so there'd still be no good way of making a lot of money fast in this game. To divide the eniter player base into two groups. Shark card buying morons spending enough to buy a new motorcycle IN REAL LIFE just to unlock shit IN A VIDEO GAME
Honestly 100 bucks just for a 1 million dollar shark card and that's NOT EVEN ENOUGH TO BUY ANY PLANE, HELICOPTER, OR REALLY ANYTHING USEFUL IN THE GAME. And for the price of 2 brand new AAA games and ALL THE CONTENT IN THEM with no microtransactions.
And the other group. People that arent' stupid enough to buy microtransactions for whom the game is designed to be unplayable and they just get reletnlessly griefed for eternity.
That's it. I've been trying to make this game work for 5 years it's never been anything other than an exercise in frustration and a masochistic self punishment which is NOT the kind of thing im into. It dies. Tonight. Have fun fucks.
GTAO Invite Only lobby guide with a Section for StriclySolo players. Updated.
WIP. WorkInProgress. This is to highlight all the things that can be done in the game without being a public session. Public session stuff is well covered in other guides.
GTAO Invite Only lobby guide with a Section for StriclySolo players.
What is a solo player and why would anyone do that in a MMO?
GTAO is not strictly a MMO. Some people just do not derive joy from playing games with others. But would like to play in a immerseive online game where the content evolves and can have a shared experience. So some people chose to play solo.
There are roughly 3 types of solo play.
Jobs available to a StrictlySolo player in a Invite only session.
Contact Missions - There are 90+ that are available to one person working alone. For the full list see http://gta.wikia.com/wiki/Missions_in_GTA_Online These pay $80K-$150K/hr depending on when you turn them in.
Casino Work
After purchasing a casino penthouse a user can call Ms. Baker to ask for jobs. These can be done in a invite only session. Either solo or with associates, in which case the missions can be scaled to have multiple objectives. These pay fairly low at about $10K-$15K per job, but they also sometimes pay in casino chips.
SecuroServ CEO and VIP Notes [Spoilers]
Spoiler Warning! I am going to describe locations for pickups, drop-offs and other fun stuff...so stop reading if you don't want to know about this.
I am collecting notes about the new stuff. I want to make a list of all the pickup and drop off locations. With all the different scenarios for each.
(Work in progress so check back as I edit these notes.)
CEO must purchase an office. They are all identical on the inside, the only difference is the view and locations. Once a office is own, the CEO can be 24/7 VIP with no time limit or cooldown. All things below that say VIP also apply to CEO.
The offices can be upgraded with Safe and Ammo rack at purchase or after the fact through the interaction menu.
The ammo rack allows you to mark certain weapons as hidden in your weapon wheel. This can be overridden in the interaction menu. Reports also indicate it is buggy when doing heists or missions.
A VIP by contrast to a CEO must have $1Mil in the bank but need not spend it to activate VIP Mode. (Note: You do not pay anything to start VIP mode.)
VIP Mode lasts for 4 hours of freemode time.
When you log out the 4 hours is put on hold.
When you play other game modes like Contact Missions, Captures, Races, etc. the clock is put on hold.
After 4 hours of in game time you get a 12 hour real-time timeout before you can be VIP again. (Note: If you played in the evening. Expecting to be able to start with a fresh 4 hours after playing only 2 of them...nope.)
The cooldowns for jobs are independent of each other. So a job cooling-down from 20 minutes will stay running even if another job is completed in that category. You can use this to optimally determine when to turn in jobs.
VIP Work there is a 5 minute cooldown on jobs that were at 0:00.
VIP Challenges there is a 3 minute cooldown on jobs that were at 0:00.
VIP Work all members get the same payout. Vip Challenges, whoever scores highest gets a larger payout.
On a public server people get messages telling them what the VIP and Bodyguards are launching advising them to either stop the VIP or get the objective first..
If the VIP can either fire or terminate a bodyguard. If the VIP fires them, they must be killed before the VIP can hire another bodyguard. If the VIP marks them for termination the Bodyguard gets a bounty.
If the VIP resigns all remaining bodyguards get a bounty placed on them.
VIP/CEO Work
Headhunter - Take out 4 targets that randomly spawn on the map. Two targets are always mobile and two targets are always stationary. Bodyguards have very dangerous accuracy. The armoured vehicles take four explosions before exploding, though the NPCs bail at two. Non-associate players are asked to protect the targets.Payout ~$18-20K Avilable In: Invite Only, Crew, Public Players needed: VIP/CEO Great guide for using the buzzard in Headhunter https://www.reddit.com/gtaonline/comments/4zy1x0/ceo_headhunter_buzzardsavage_guide/
Air Freight - Collect a Cargobob at one location then go to a container being guarded by NPCs, take them out, pick up the container with the Cargobob, fly it to the destination. Other players are alerted about your progress. Payout ~$18-20K Avilable In: Invite Only, Crew, Public Players needed: VIP/CEO, 1+ Non-associate
Haulage - Collect a truck and drive it across the map. Non-associate players are told to stop you. A Karin Technical spawns at the initial pickup point. Payout ~$18-20K. Avilable In: Invite Only, Crew, Public Players needed: VIP/CEO, 1+ Non-associate
Hostile Takeover - Retrieve a package from either the Altruist Camp, Fort Zancudo, LSIA, or Merryweather Base and take it to a location. After stealing the package you get a 3 star wanted level. Wanted level goes away on package delivery. Each team member gets $16K+. Avilable In: Invite Only, Crew, Public Players needed: VIP/CEO only
Asset Recovery - Retrieve one or more cars from either the Vespucci Police Station, La Mesa Police Station, Mission Row Police Station, Vinewood Hills Police Station, Sandy Shores Police Station, or Paleto Bay Police Station and deliver them to a drop off. Wanted level cannot be lost until close to the destination. Avilable In: Invite Only, Crew, Public Players needed: VIP/CEO only
Sightseer - Hack the system to reveal packages. You collect 3 packages in 14 minutes using a hacking app on the phone. Only the VIP can hack and only the VIP can collect them. Every person in the VIP team gets around $23,000. Avilable In: Invite Only, Crew, Public Players needed: VIP/CEO only
Executive Deathmatch - Challenge another VIP to a deathmatch. They can accept or decline. Each player on each VIP team gets 10 lives. 20 minutes on the clock. Avilable In: Invite Only, Crew, Public Players needed: 2 VIP/CEO
Executive Search - The VIP is given 2 minutes to reach a location. A orange circle is around the location. Any player on the map can come try to find and kill you. If the VIP survives everyone gets $24K. The VIPs blip is invisible while moving. The Bodyguards blips can be seen. Keep the guards away from the VIP as this indicates the VIPs location. Avilable In: Invite Only, Crew, Public Players needed: VIP/CEO, 1+ Non-associate
Piracy Prevention - For players with Yachts. $20K for successful attacker. $30K to vip team for defending. Avilable In: Invite Only, Crew, Public Players needed: VIP/CEO, 1+ Non-associate
VIP/CEO Challenges
Cashing Out - Compete to steal the most amount of cash by hacking ATMs. Winner gets a bonus payout of $18K. Losers get $5K. Everyone gets to keep the money they stole. Avilable In: Invite Only, Crew, Public Players needed: VIP/CEO, 1+ Bodyguard
Salvage - Dive with rebreathers or a sumbmarine to collect ($) checkpoints. Each checkpoint is worth $500 after the first 10. 40-50 checkpoints. Winner gets a $18K bonus, Losers Get $5K. Like Due Diligence The winner of this can easily make $35-$45 in 10 minutes. Avilable In: Invite Only, Crew, Public Players needed: VIP/CEO, 1+ Bodyguard
Auto Buyout - Compete to steal and deliver the most high end vehicles. Payments are based on who delivers the most expensive vehicles. Winner gets the largest cut. Winner gets a percentage range from 0.71%-1.45% of total value. The percentage gets lower the higher the total is; it may cap at 0.71%. Loser gets $3k-$4.5K. (I have not figured out how this is calculated.) The most expensive vehicle I have found is the Transit Buses and Dashound Buses which bring in $500K each. Avilable In: Invite Only, Crew, Public Players needed: VIP/CEO, 1+ Bodyguard
Due Diligence- Compete to find hidden packages. Each member of the team gets a trackify app on their phone. When you get close to the package you will see smoke. When you get very close fireworks will come out of the package for all to see. Do this in the town of Harmony on a Sanchez for quickest payout. If 1 person collects all the packages within 10 minutes, they get about $38K. Avilable In: Invite Only, Crew, Public Players needed: VIP/CEO, 1+ Bodyguard
Most Wanted - Compete to survive a wanted level until time runs out. You cannot be "inside" or else your timer resets after 14 seconds inside you lose the challenge. (This includes being in the tunnels.) You cannot be in a air vehicle or your timer resets. For surviving the full 10 minutes you receive $21K. The wanted level goes away after the challenge. Avilable In: Invite Only, Crew, Public Players needed: VIP/CEO, 1+ Bodyguard
Point To Point - Compete against team members in a race. $10K+ to the winner $500+ to the losers. The destination must be set outside of a red circle. Very short races. Avilable In: Invite Only, Crew, Public Players needed: VIP/CEO, 1+ Bodyguard
Courier Service - Compete against team members to grab protection money and deliver to a location. If in an air vehicle the money evaporates. All damage to courier and the couriers vehicle makes money evaporate. Avilable In: Invite Only, Crew, Public Players needed: VIP/CEO, 1+ Bodyguard
Market Manipulation - Compete to hold up stores in the time limit. You get a wanted level after each robbery. Payout is $13K+ for winner. Avilable In: Invite Only, Crew, Public Players needed: VIP/CEO, 1+ Bodyguard
Other VIP/CEO Notes
VIP/CEOs can spawn vehicles they own nearby for free. And can "rent" the other VIP vehicles. You get to keep this vehicle while VIP or until it is destroyed. (example: If you leave a limo on the other side of the map after renting it you can respawn it near you for free.)
Bodyguards can spawn vehicles nearby if the VIP owns them and no other VIP vehicle is active.
Bodyguards get paid $5000 every 15 minutes by SecuroServe not the VIP. This amount is reduced by $250 each time the VIP dies. It will reset on the next payment if the VIP did not die in that duration.
VIPs get a cut of the money that a bodyguard earns while in Freemode. So if you sell a car, win a gang attack, or rob a store, they get the majority of the money.
When Bodyguards and VIPs die they spawn near each other when they are relatively near one another. (Need more research on this.)
Approximately every 1 minute of real time the Bodyguard spends inside the orange corona of the VIP they receive 100RP.
Every 10 miles the Bodyguard drives the VIP they get 600RP. (Still looking into this one.)
Bodyguards and VIPs can share cash with one another from each Work or Challenge. There is a daily limit that one character can share with another which is about $500K.
Some VIP/CEO work is considered server wide and only one can run at a time.
A VIP/CEO cannot start any other work,challenges, pickups or deliveries while engaged on a current one.
A CEO can request a Luxury Helicopter. When it arrives there is an option to skip the trip to one of your owned properties.
Bodyguard Management
Currently bodyguard pay is very low. They only get normal $5K/15 minutes for pickups. And around $5K on a delivery regardless of the size.
The best way to help them out is to play VIP Work or VIP Challenge Most Wanted in between package pickups. You can share the cash you make as CEO/VIP from Work/Challenges.
CEO Warehouse Management
CEO must purchase a Office. From a special terminal at the CEOs desk they access the SecuroServ Special Cargo Network.
From this desktop computer the CEO can purchase up to 5 warehouses. You can purchase over existing ones and a 1/2 refund will be given. This works kinda like apartments and garages.
Warehouses can hold either 16,42, or 111 Crates.
Special Cargo Crates are bought One at a time for $2000, Two at a time for $4000ea, or Three at a Time for $6000ea.
They can be Bullion, Jewelry, Narcotics, Gemstones, Counterfeit Goods, Medical Supplies, Electronics Goods, Weapons, Alcohol & Tobacco, or Animal Materials. They all cost and sell for the same price so the type of goods does not matter.
Rare Special Cargo
On occasion your Personal Assistant will call you and tell you there is Rare special cargo available for a hefty price. ~30K. Get to your office ASAP. Chose a warehouse. You will see the Rare Item at the top of the buy list. If you back out from that screen it may disappear. It will be a single crate to pickup. Some items: Rare Diamond, Bigfoot Suit?, Fabergé egg, Golden Minigun, Richard Majestics film reel. (These are reported on reddit I've only seen the diamond.) (Also Note: people report that this is very buggy.)
Pickup Missions
After the crates are bought a Buy Mission begins in public free roam. They usually consist of going to a place to pick up a van, truck, or meeting a contact. Each one usually has a "complication," and may have NPCs either guarding the Special Cargo
Must Destroy a helicopter then take out the 1+ thieves who parachute from it and pickup crates individually.
Police Ambush
Police have seized the cargo and are transporting it. You must get it from them and will get a wanted level.
Theives on foot.
Pirates at the Marquis - destroy them without hitting the boat first to make sure you don't accidentally destroy cargo.
Sell Missions
Sell missions are determined by how many crates you want to sell at once. Larger shipments require multiple vehicles to be delivered.
0-9 Crates 1 truck/boat/plane.
10-40 Crates 2 trucks/boats/planes
40+ 3 trucks/boats/planes or 1 Titan.
Fly the cargo in 1+ Cuban 800's to Ortega's Trailer - http://gta.wikia.com/wiki/Ortega's_trailer
Fly the cargo in 1+ Cuban 800's to Sandy Shores Airfield.
Fly the cargo in a 1+ Cuban 800's and drop individual crates on various spots around the map.
Take a tugboat to a sailboat in international waters.
Deliver cargo in 1+ Brickade. Sometimes must take out 18 incoming NPC enemies.
Take 1+ Brickade to 5 locations to drop off individual packages.
Deliver cargo in 1+ Brickade to a unknown location. Must use trackify. (After you have done enough of them you may be able to guess the spot just by vector alone.)
Take a Titan and deliver to 5 spots.
Expect extensive edits over the next few days. For the curios how do I keep in a solo public session? I have really crappy internet service.... it is the reason I can't really play heists... pretty much guaranteed to disconnect during one... but it does cause netsplits and leaves me solo all the time.
